​Hi. I'm Martin, and I love music!

        I've been fortunate enough to spend the last eleven years making a living out of playing, recording and teaching music. I have a variety of ongoing projects including my function band The Five Dollar Shakes, acoustic duo The Soul Tones, supporting emerging country and folk artist Lucy Millen, Senegalese Jazz Fusion band Ibou Tall and the Jazzmates and my own solo acoustic project. I'm always up for collaborating on new projects and love playing everything from high energy rock and pop to jazz and folk.         The only thing I enjoy as much as travelling around the country performing is sharing my love and knowledge of music with students young and old. As a guitar teacher I've helped hundreds of students achieve their goals, pass grade exams, meet the entry requirements for college and university level music courses and, most importantly, have a great time playing the guitar! Whether you're an established guitarist looking to develop your skills and understanding of theory, or completely new to the instrument and want to build some skills that you'll be able to enjoy for the rest of your life, my guitar lessons have something to offer you.
